I love the cast and the movie looks like it had a huge budget - technically beautiful... but while watching it to me it felt soul-less and generic.
Inferior to spy franchises like James Bond, Mission: Impossible, Bourne...
People watched it, same as other Netflix dreck. It's not a good movie but it kept asses in seats.

shareThats an interesting way to define it. The film does have this air of humor to it blended with the serious tone in a decent way. Its like Burn Notice donned the Bourne Identity before going on a Bond caper.

Do they check new subscriptions? Is there ad revenue for ad based accounts?
I'm not sure what metric for success they use.
For what it's worth, I liked the movie, it was a nice no-brainer weekend afternoon movie.
I remember really liking Chris Evans Psychopath character and his sociopathic charm and dark humor. Also it had some good action scenes. Its a decent film and I plan on revisiting it sometime soon. There are other Netflix films that had me rewatching them after awhile and still liking them. People are too harsh on Netflix movies. Sure there are some movies that are fun or entertaining to watch but one and done viewing, but others have enough to have me think of them and wanna come back for a rewatch. I think its successful enough for reviewing, but I dont need it to become a franchise.
