WOMEN GUNMEN??...OH PLEASE!!!! (Possible Spoiler)

Give me a break!

There were not that many women that used guns unless it may have been for hunting....much less going out and hunting people in the old west acting like outlaws or gunmen.

Yes there were exceptions, but THAT WAS NOT THE GENERAL RULE! It was the exception to the rule.

It seems that so many movies are trying to be "politically correct" without knowing their western history very well.

They put blacks and women in roles they simply did not do!

This is one such movie. Two women come gunning for a woman inside the cabin. UTTER CRAP! A lot of blacks and women were treated as second class citizens in the west...not equals. It may not have been right, but neither was slavery, but it did happen!

But because of how it is TODAY with women's rights, a lot of writers think it is cute to put them in roles that did not even exsist.

Even a lot of the stereotype "fast gunmen" were not in real life as they were portrayed in newspapers back then. Some gunman might have killed three people and the papers would print he was responsible for thirty deaths by his gun!

The wild west has been so over exaggerated to the point it is getting stupid! This movie is just one example, but an example it is! I am waiting for a movie to show how the west REALLY was, not as a fantasy land!

Kenny Rogers hosted a TV show about the real wild west. And he also dispelled a lot of myths about it. For example, the posse.

A lot of posse's were not made up of crack shots and marksmen, but were usually made up of ordinary towns people...who when the bank was robbed...had a stake in what they lost, as there was NO FDIC to get their money back from. If a bank robber got away with a towns money, it usually put the entire town in financial straights, unless you may count some old timer who kept all his money at his home under his bed or hidden somewhere.

But please...ENOUGH WITH THE FANTASY that everyone in the west was treated as equals, it simply did not happen!

You seem to not know history very well dude. I am currently a history major and have always had a vested interest in the old west especially. Black people were often in the wild west and plenty of the time were petty thieves and outlaws. Correct there weren't many women outlaws etc. But the part about it being made into fantasy land I don't know. Sure there wasn't gun fights in streets every day nor did that happen much at all. But the amount of outlaws and gangs and individual accounts of violence were staggering! Absolutely very violent and aggressive by nature the US west was up until about 1900. So ya the gun slingers in middle of town at high noon is a little fantasy but it was certainly a place of uncertainty and often sparked violence that simply would't be reported on a historical account/s. I could list gang scuffles, individual violence and robberies that would exceed the word limit on IMDB. Don't downplay how rough and nuts the west was and could be.

The OP is not only an ignoramus and an idiot, but quite possibly a sexist and racist. People who whine and moan about "political correctness" usually are.

I had the impression that these women may have been the wives of the miners Eduardo robbed; and then were later killed by Eduardo and Butch when they pursued Eduardo. I think Eduardo's explanation to Butch that they probably sent two women is false because we know at the end he had not robbed a wealthy mine owner, but the miners themselves (who know owned the mine). The women were not pistoleras, but the victims of robbery and the murder of their husbands. As such their deaths were as tragic as that of Yana and the miners. But, they were Indians and the Bolivians cared little about them.

Well first, this movie isn't in the American West, it's in South America. And there were plenty of Black cowboys in the American West, fleeing racism and a lack of opportunity in the East (North and South) for a better chance on the frontier.

But yeah, female gunmen is a stretch. But that's why they used them, so Butch and his buddy would let their guard down.
