Debbie Toes

Yeah, that would be devastating...

Nice to see Frank took point and dealt with the situation, swiftly. He's a father when he needs to be, lol.

The devastating thing is that a young girl has to cut off her toes, because she can't afford to get the surgery. Only in America.

I wondered what NHS in the UK would do in the situation. Would they consider it acceptable to get the toes cut off for $6000-$7000 (which Debbie couldn't even do that), or would they do the reparative surgery for $50,000 or whatever it was. I agree. It's shameful that someone would have to do this.

The USA is always crowing about how rich and wonderful they are, but the fact that a young girl is forced to do that shows that the USA isn't as great as many claim. Fuck the medical community for the shit they do like throwing an elderly woman out in the cold with only the hospital gown on her body. Things like this happens all the time in the US. Shame on the US.

Yeah, I agree that medical care in the US is a travesty. In this case, Debbie couldn't even afford the least expensive option. But, it's not only in the United States that people don't have access to the healthcare they need. And, while I'm pro-single payer system, I was just curious as to what NHS would have done in the situation.
