I do hope that the movie will continue from Joel and shows how he will fight this entity. I would hate if the sequel do happen but they kill him off right away.

I agree. I think either begin where they left off or start off further down the chain only to reveal that Joel survived and has a plan to kill the entity.

That would kinda echo the sequel to the US version of The Grudge.

What entity? There is no entity. The entity was a metaphor for suicidal people dealing with trauma.
