Odd moments and vague actions

This was just ok, but had some weird scenes and transitions.

For instance, in the strip club, Liza walks on stage, then just stands there holding the pole, and then walks off the stage. She goes over to the Chris Evans character, sits down, and proceeds to tell him all she sized up about him. Why did she do that? That just played out rather oddly and unnaturally.

There were several scenes where Liza just stares at something in the distance for some vague and inexplicable reason.

Then, in just one scene, they employ the character voiceover narrative device (using Chris Evans) to introduce a few characters then never use that device again. It’s as if I switched over to watch The Big Short for a sec, then switched back to this film.

(Spoiler). Did we ever figure out how Liza got the money to pay for her daughter’s surgery?

What was the symbolic meaning of the recurring popcorn? Popcorn towers, popcorn in bowls…

Regarding the surgery, I was thinking the same. She gets caught by Evans and then the next scene her daughter is in surgery. I was like, wait a second, who paid for it? I guess the feds covered it even though she didn't get any physical evidence at that time? It wasn't until after the surgery that she discovered the emails.

This movie felt like a bad mash-up of The Wolf of Wall Street with The Big Short.
