That was beautiful, man!

I blazed...

I watched...

I cried...

And now, I can't wait until the next epsiode.

Didn't think I would feel this way about this show again.... especially after it's looked like the producers just wanna sell ad space for Sunday nights.... taking three GD years to give us closure on Glenn!!!!

Anyways...

This episode was so touching! From Maggie finally seeing Rick's point about "life" and how we move forward, to the "Lil' Ass Kicker" living up to her name, to the helicopter, to Anne escaping this hell with Rick ( I wonder if she'll get him to sit and pose for her! LOL!), to Hershel, to FUCKING SHANE!!!! OMG, wasn't their rapport so ON?!?!?! Love those dudes man!!!!

I didn't mind Sasha... I get what the producers are selling it as... I still think Glenn should have been there! How many times we gonna see a poitnless,d efeated, and BORING neegan?! Kill him already and get t over with....

RIGHT! The comics...!

This is tv.... stay in your fkn comics if you like that crap, let the tv people do what's right for tv!

ALSO, loved the long one shot of Maggie heart-shaped Booty when she left the dungeon and douche bag neegan....

The whole episode made me love this show again! I know... sounds crazy, but that's how I feel.

How bout you?

reply

kind of.

it did not make a lot of sense though. when rick was bucked from his horse all roads seemed to be jammed with walkers, but then when he pulled himself off got back on his horse, miraculously two of the forks were clear?

reply

Did anyone else notice the depth and distance difference in the different shots?
You'd see Rick looking like the walkers were within reaching distance...then it would do a long shot and you'd see he had several more yards between them.
It did this continuously..this strange depth perception.
At the end on the bridge it seemed like the horde was right behind him but the long shot gave him a lot more room to do what he did..

It was obvious that these were all different shots at different times edited together.

Good God you DUMMY, who cares. A lot of mistakes happen on shows all the time. And if you ever rode a horse they get twitchy at the slightest movements at times. If they don’t wanna go you can’t force them, had plenty of friends thrown from the saddle. It happens

reply

It's an observation. Not a critique.
It threw me off repeatedly through the episode.

Isn't it time for school?
...Hopefully charm school.

reply

Threw me a bit too, but I don't think it was a mistake.

I think with Rick's disorientation, injury, and the situation being the horrendous shit show it is, the audience was actually made to feel the same.

That friggin horse should have been red meat already, but he runs, stands... waits for Rick...

The way it was shot makes me go with the flow. I don't think it was a mistake.

reply

No, I didn't think it was a mistake either. I think it was meant to throw you off, keep you on edge and keep you guessing on just how close they were..

Thank god the horse survived. I'm sorry but the horse in ep 1 season 1 really bothered me. I'm glad we didn't get a rehash of that.

I'm still smarting over Shiva's demise! :(

reply

Yeah, trying to make it scarier for the audience. It is basically the equivalent of having someone walking along ( they always do this in TWD ) and then panning or pulling back the camera and there is a walker right there next to them.

We know this is nonsense as when a walker is attacking the first thing they do is to get up and start snarling. How could people miss that when they are just walking down the road? It's almost comical.

Then there is the smell. I would imagine after 6 years of being dead with no hygeine at all in the wild and the elements that walkers would really have a repellent stink that you would notice if one got without 10 feet of you. That pretty much would negate the ability for a walker to sneak quietly up on someone.

reply

The only thing that sucked for me was Negan crying like a little bitch.

reply

He cried because he misses his wife, crying because of love doesn't make him a bitch, if he cried because of fear that would've made him a bitch though.
