The success of the film is really due to the excellent job of the marketing team . Aside from that it was just OK. It looked pretty but really do not understand the hoo lala about it.

I agree, it was over-hyped and the story was something out of a Saturday morning cartoon.
Of course we are interested in seeing it because of the over-the-top marketing, and the two stars: Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. That pair will bring in the women, and men will gladly tag along to enjoy Margot Robbie for two hours, even with their pants on.
I enjoyed the Barbie and Ken personifications in Toy Story much more than this woke-fest of a movie.
