Hector could still win (spoilers)

IMHO, it was a mistake to leave the "I Came By" tag on the wall of Hector's house.

This gives Hector some chance to spin an elaborate frame-up tale about being targeted by a rabid group of anti-establishment "terrorists". As a former judge and otherwise influential person, he comes in with a lot of credibility. I don't know how much forensic evidence that could find that would link him to the secret cell, but he could make it part of the plot and claim he didn't even know it was there.

Hector even has evidence linking Jameel to the "I Came By" graffiti gang, furthering the verisimilitude of such an elaborate tale.

Either way, I think it would have been an eerie ending of the film to show him walking out of a court room with all charges dismissed..
