The Halloween franchise got a legacy sequel in 1998 thanks to Halloween H20, and it did some things better than the 2018 reboot sequel.

some interesting points. However, 2018 couldn't copy many of the character points in H20. If they did, it would have just been a rehash. Also, 2018 was envisioned as a trilogy so Laurie's character had more time to develop and then ultimately finish off Michael.
