4$ water bottles in 1999, No shaded areas to sit in, extreme heat, overflowing toilet facilities, greedy corporations and promoters and inept medical people who treated heat stroke like drug overdose and yeah is it any wonder people rioted and looted drunk for days and pist off?

Absolutely no excuse for the sexual assaults though

Plus the promoters booked 4 heavy metal acts in a row. It was a recipe for disaster. I'm sure many people had the time of their lives, despite the hardships. But yeah, the crimes committed ruined its legacy. It is really tragic, the way ALL the music and bands that were there suffer from their connection to this debacle, when really I don't see them as responsible.
