Feel cheated...

As the title says... I kinda feel cheated with this show.
It's like going to my favorite coffee shop, where I go everyday for the last 3 years, and all of a sudden, Im being handed tomato juice, instead of coffee, with no warning. Im not saying tomato juice is bad...all Im saying I went there for coffee.

I like Louis CK, he's one of my favorite COMEDIANS hands down. But this is not comedy anymore. Like others here have said, I think I laughed maybe 2 or 3 times during the entire season. I came here expecting comedy...weird, dark, twisted comedy for sure...but still 100% pure comedy. What I got instead is some artsy drama episodes. Im sorry, but Im just not interested in that.

If I wanted weird *beep* up drama, I would watch a Woody Allen movie. And speaking of Woody Allen..might he be the reason for this sudden style change? The Blue Jasmine experience might have changed LCK's optics on entertainment / television.
He is trying too hard to be something he is not. He should stick to comedy and stand up imo.

Think of it this way. He's a very creative guy with many different ideas. He has the opportunity to tell other stories he wants to tell. Not all comedy. He has a show, so he's able to do it through that. He can't very well do these types of stories in his stand up. So he's able to do them through the show, which has always been different.

"He is trying too hard to be something he is not."
Incorrect! He, like all of us is more than one single thing, one single word description. I see you post on facebook about Louie...... When you do something else, is that you trying to be something you're not, or are you more than an imdb poster on Louie?

And I get it that you're not interested in that type of story and that's fine, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't tell the stories he wants to tell and has the opportunity to. You only want to watch his comedy and that's great, so just stick to watching his stand up, because that is a medium that he can only tell his jokes on, while television allows him to explore many different creative story options, that he can't do in stand up.

Look at how many actors particularly comedians go into different areas. Robin Williams is a great example. Went from comedy to drama because there were other creative areas he wanted to work in. NOT because he was trying to be something he wasn't. The difference being that Robin Williams had the opportunity to explore different areas in different movies. Louie can't exactly do 2 different Louie shows. So watch his stand up and enjoy it and leave the show since it's not your cup of tea (and again that is fine).

To Love and win is the best thing. To Love and lose, the next best.

"He is trying too hard to be something he is not", you might be right. But the fact of the matter is, he is doing it really well, without being obnoxious about any of it.

If you had listened to Mark Maron's podcast with Louis, you would learn that he made movies and short films for many, many years before he started to take his career as a comedian seriously. So for you to arbitrarily "designate" him as a comedian and "decide" that he should stick to being one and give up film making and stay funny like your own personal monkey boy just shows what an asinine individual you are.

I knew all that about Louis CK, he also said it on Letterman he used to make short movies and stuff. But I was talking about LOuie, which started out as a comedy, and then all of a sudden turned into a...Im not even sure what is supposed to be. A dramedy maybe.. And it wasnt that good to be honest.

Yeah Louis' goin overboard with the pot, he's a bit weird, not focused...I hope he stopped that sheet by now...

There we were, minding our own business, when kids started killing themselves all over my property.

I liked season four except for the six tedious, plodding and pointless 'elevator' episodes.

I'm curious whether the laugh track would make you laugh more.

It seems you don't understand the point of the show. Louie is not just coffee. It is coffee AND tomato jizz. And tequila. And a slurpy from 7/11. It's also a protein shake. This is what draws me back every time. That now I know it's not just the one thing. And it seems to know what it needs to be for me at that particular time. It's Jackson Pollock AND John Singer Sargent AND Salvador Dali AND Gary Larson.

*beep* off, you goddamn *beep* *beep*

This might be the worst OP I've ever read.
I'm glad C.K. is doing what he is doing regardless of what many seem to think of it..
