flaw with the premise (spoiler)

first of all, I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was a serious movie (based on all the praise it received) so I was surprised it was a full out comedy.

However, there is no way that Molly would not have known that the kids she thought were below her intellectually were going to Stanford, Yale, Harvard, etc. I know they said that they weren't supposed to discuss their colleges in school, but come on. There would have been award ceremonies, National Honor Society, etc.
