I'd managed to avoid spoilers for almost 4 years. Didn't read reviews or anything like that. Finally saw it last year during one of the lockdowns & man oh man, it was atrocious.

ESPECIALLY that finale. That final episode legit felt a freaking piece of fan fiction. Wtf? Like what in the actual f*ck?!?!

Episode 2, The Lying Detective was the definite standout in a rather piss poor season.

It was already bad enough right when it was broadcast. I can only imagine how you must have felt after anticipating it for four years!

If I had read that final ep on AO3, I would have thought the writer didn't understand the show at all!

It legit felt like a tumblr fanfiction or something.

It's been 2 years since I saw it & I still can't believe how cringe inducingly bad that final episode was.
