S11E02 No Time to Die... Did not like the Groom/nephew.

When Columbo first learned of the bridge getting kidnapped... He started asking questions, in order to help his nephew, the groom. I thought the nephew was such a douche in all of his angry responses. This man is trying to help you! I think it was contrived to keep the audience guessing. To keep us thinking if he was actually involved in his wife's kidnapping. Anybody else felt this way?

Yeah, that was a bad episode as I recall. I saw it when it first came out more than 30 years ago. I think I've only seen it once. I vaguely remember that groom/nephew being inappropriate.

The only good thing I remember is Lance LeGault as the police captain. Columbo's superior. He was smart, authoritarian, and dubious of Columbo's methods. Not a memorable episode though.

Yeah, it was one of the few episodes, if not the only episode, where he's working with other cops, and those cops get significant screen time. As if the show was thinking of laying the groundworks for spin-offs. Felt like a 1990's cop show. I prefer the older episodes from the 70's where it was a one man show.
