The trailer looks modern and not as film like. I like the back story as it appears the Killer (John Carver) is seeking revenge from a tragedy that occurred a year ago on Black Friday.
shareSadly, this looks more like your run of the mill slasher and doesn't have the grindhouse aesthetic/feel that the original trailer had.
I'm still looking forward to it as I loved the fake trailer, but I've never been a huge fan of Eli Roth. I just hope this will still lean into the campiness and dark humor of the fake trailer more than the trailer is leading us to believe.
