Does the dog die??

I can not see this movie if the dog dies......please tell me it doesnt!!

reply

I don't understand why people refuse to watch movies were animals die. Yea, it can bring an emotion response, but that's the point. And at the end of the day, it's only a movie.

For me, it's usually because it's a sign of weak film making. Need a quick, cheap emotional response? Kill the dog!
If it's actually important to the plot (Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows...even Splice to a point) then it doesn't bother me (well, it still bothers me, but not to the point where I won't watch the movie). I just feel like it's used as shock value way more often than it needs to be.

Those of us are worried about the dog, because it cannot save itself as well as humans can.

Defenseless dog? Put down the crack pipe, you've had enough.

It was a Pomeranian. They're chain saws in fur coats.

It's a little known fact that in 1807 the Prussians held off the French at the siege of Kolberg by siccing thousands of snarling little orange dogs on them.

So does the dog die or not? I have read two different responses to that on this board.

You can put your concerns to rest, the dog survives.
