Too tweenie for me

My gf makes me watch this. I realize most of you are fans, but I just have to get it off my chest that I think this is a terrible show, but it is better than OTHER stuff my gf watches that is unbearable, like her British "comedy" series (Miranda, Ab-Fab, The Vicar etc). I think LG would be better if it didn't have such an adolescent quality to it. I feel like, besides the over-the-top sex scenes, innuendos, and, latent lesbian tensions between Bo and every single woman she ever comes in contact with EVER, that it is on par with tween story lines like Twilight or Vampire Diaries. I feel like I am watching something that would come on the Disney Channel following a boring afternoon of my twelve year old stepdaughter watching Jessie and Bunk'd.

I don't get it though, why are you watching this show NOW, when it's been over for going on two years?.. So many great series have come out since then (Westworld, Mindhunter, Ozark, Daredevil, The Night Of - should I go on?), why would you waste your time on this very mediocre low-budget series from the past?

I can't keep up with all the great stuff that keeps coming out almost every week now it seems like, what with Netflix and Amazon and Hulu in addition to all the cable channels, I can't imagine wasting my time on an old show unless I know for a fact that it's a masterpiece of television (and even then it's just hard to fit in - for instance, I've never seen Mad Men or The Sopranos or The Wire for that very reason).
