They should have brought Toombs back

I missed the merc Toombs from “Chronicles of Riddick” in this. He and Riddick seemed to have a grudging respect for one another. I read that he supposedly died in the cages where Riddick locked him in. That was a lame end for him. He seemed more resourceful than to die there like that. The prisoners who stayed behind could’ve easily released him, and he could’ve sent for another ship to escape.
