Was that supposed to be a happy ending?

She does countless shitty things over the course of the summer, finishing it off by going back to Conrad after choosing Jeremiah. Sappy music plays as she kisses him which means we are supposed to feel good about this? Jeremiah just found out that his mother is dying so that seems like the perfect time to kiss his brother.

I just saw a commercial for it on USA network (not necessarily where it's appearing - looks like a Lifetime / Hallmark effort), so I wondered what would pop up here.
The commercial was strike one, your review was strike two, and since I doubt I would ever watch something like this in the first place -- strike three !

Not in the way "happy ending" is understood by most American women, whenever beautiful East Asian women are on the scene

It's not over....there is at least one or two more seasons...

Belly obviously realized that Conrad's up and down emotions weren't due to the fact that he was playing games with her, it was the fact that he carried the burden of knowing about his mother's cancer diagnosis and dealt with it by himself, all summer long.

It's always been Conrad. Now that she knows why he was brooding all summer long, they could openly talk and express themselves...

Sorry but Jeremiah was just something in the meantime...

That's not really the point though. I agree that her and Conrad are the better fit, but I'm talking about how she is handling it and how she is treating other people. The right thing to do would be to break things off with Jeremiah before ever being intimate with Conrad. Maybe even let him process his mother's situation before bringing it up. If this situation happened in real life then everyone would think what Belly did was messed up, and the fact that it's supposed to be a romantic/happy moment is ridiculous.
