What kind of tone does this have?

I know the synopsis, and I've seen the trailer. I'm not turned off by the subject material at all. Is this kind of comedic like say "Spanking The Monkey" or more dark like "Womb"?

Well, this was interesting, but I thought the directing/camera work really took away and made it hard to watch at times. Why do I have to stare at the interior of a toilet for several minutes to open the movie?

Just started watching it and haven't finished it yet (about half way) and so far it is not comedic at all. it is more like a serious drama.

Yeah, it definitely has a very serious tone. My question was before I watched it, but you'll see in the thread I followed up my question with a post after watching.
