An enjoyable hour and a half

The second movie of DC's new animated continuity. When Barry Allen is called into action as the Flash, he suddenly finds himself flung back to the days of World War II. There he encounters the Justice Society of America (Wonder Woman, Flash (Jay Garrick), Hourman, Black Canary, and Hawkman) who are on a mission to stop Hitler gathering mystic artifacts he believes will win him the war. Barry decides to help whilst at the same time looking for a way back to the world he knows. But as events unfold, he comes to a shocking realisation...

The voice cast, led by Stana Katic as Wonder Woman and Matt Bomer as Barry Allen/The Flash, are excellent. Katic's heavily accented WW sounds like a more militant Gal Gadot, whilst Bomer's Barry Allen is the perfect blend of naive nice guy and heroic badass. The art is different from the New 52-based movies, with the designs here less exaggerated. The 1940s costumes and general styling look great, and the animation is really impressive - especially during fight scenes. The story's good, with high stakes, impressive action, and some surprise characters along the way. There are still questions left at the end, but I suspect we'll get answers in some of the follow-up movies.

It's good to see a movie devoted to these Golden Age characters (some of whom will be next to unknown to non-fans). I hope they get a sequel - perhaps featuring more of the JSA roster. 8/10

Yeah I enjoyed quite a bit. Looking forward to seeing more from this new continuity, which also includes Man of Tomorrow and Long Halloween.
