Were Rand and Erika ever.. ? (spoilers)

That confused me, too. Unless I missed it, it seems the part where they got married was cut out. I saw where he acted like he was going to propose to her, and got down on one knee, but had the part to fix her toilet in the box he held out, so it was a joke. Her girlfriend was standing right there when he did it. It seems Erika and her girlfriend never broke up, either, at least in the show. Apparently, Rand and Erika really were married in real life.

They were married in the past and now separated, not divorced due to cost. I learnt this from watching the show.
