Why call it Tom & Jerry, and then not even have them be the focus

Just finished watching this and yeah it sucks. But what surprised me most was just how boring it was. Tom & Jerry weren't even the main focus and the plot with the girl trying to save the wedding was so damn boring and lame.

I actually thought it was a smart choice, but you aren't wrong. I said something to my wife about it not really being a T&J movie, but without them having speaking parts, their antics only go so far.
