Why are there so many creepy characters in this series ?

Like that creepy Tanya who is completely oblivious to how selfish she is?

And then there is the rich financial advisor guy who keeps kissing his friend all the time. I'm hardly homophobic, but I find that so annoying. If I had a good male friend who all of a sudden started kissing me, I'd be asking what t f is up man?

OK, that's only two characters, but most of the focus is on those two.

I guess the Michael Imperioli character could be viewed as a bit creepy, but his creepy seems sort of normal mid-life crisis stuff compared to off the wall behavior of the others.

Here's a couple of links that agree with you about Tanya & also point out the flaws in other characters as well like GREG:

White Lotus Season 2, Episode 3 Recap: The Power of a Vacation Edible

Tanya has control over him financially, a not-so-great position to be in when the person holding the wallet has proven to have the attention span of a six-year-old in a toy store. But still, all this sneaking around, the rude comments, his decision to leave abruptly...I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he’s making it very hard. Then, things start to make a little more sense when we learn a bit more about their dynamic, and that Tanya used her wealth and connections to help Greg with his health issues.

“Tanya, you’ve done a lot for me, OK?” he says at dinner before he leaves her for “two days.” “You found those doctors. I’m going to live because of you.” Luckily, Tanya says what we’re all thinking in that moment. “But ever since you found out that you were going to have a lot more years, I feel like you just realized that you were going to be stuck living them with me.” Does Greg deny that? No, because he is a bad man. Maybe I’m getting swept up in Tanya’s hysteria, but I hope he doesn’t come back to Sicily. She’s better off without him.

Albie reveals his true identity—an Instagram whore, and an oblivious one at that. I mean, Portia just spent the previous night explaining to you that she’s sick of living for her phone and you spend the next morning snapping selfies at breakfast?

Her (TANYA's) actions are impulsive and delusional. She's so devoted to this relationship and doesn't want to confront the fact that Greg has been using her as a meal ticket and, potentially, a big payout.

No one wants to admit when they've been taken for a ride.

My best guess is that Greg will continue swindling her until someone else steps in. Unfortunately, Tanya will hold on to the false hope that everything is all fine and dandy.

What do you think? Do you think Greg will be back again? Since it takes almost an entire day to fly back & forth from Europe to wherever Greg's going in the US (Colorado?), the story about his being back again in 2 days does sound pretty fishy.

🐟

Has he dumped her for good now that she's paid to save his life and he isn't going to die anymore???

🤔

Also agree about how CREEPY it is to have Cameron kissing Ethan so much. PLUS he also said he'd "DO HIM" back in Ep 1 when they discussed his appearance or what he was like back when they were still roommates. Cameron would probably "DO ANYONE" no matter what sex they were.
