Tribute to the Sopranos?? S02E02

The grandfather of Italian descent watching the Godfather, next door the son -Chris Moltisanti in the Sopranos- in his luxury suite with two young italian prositutes drinking champagne; all this in a 1 minute span.

As soon as that short scene was over I immediatly thought of the Sopranos, how the Sopranos gang watch Scarface (and probably mention the Godfather) and how Tony and some of the other characters have fun with young prostitutes, and splash cash.

The director might have done it on purpose having similar elements as the Sopranos (Italy, mafia Godfather, money luxury suite, prostitutes and of course the Chris character) in such a short scene.

If someone showed me this 1 minute scene without mentioning White Lotus and told me Sopranos released a new season I would have believed them !!

Lots of reviews think the GODFATHER scene is a way to FORESHADOW what's to come. Because it's also warning about how women from that area where they're located are "WORSE than SHOTGUNS."

Maybe when they meet their relatives Dominic and/or his father may go after the pretty daughter of someone who will use a SHOTGUN on them???

very interesting, true that showing this precise scene of the Godfather was probably not a coincidence, may be the father of one of the prostitutes will get involved ^o^

No the QUOTE says WOMEN (not men) are more DANGEROUS than SHOTGUNS.

So having the father of LUCIA getting involved wouldn't correspond with FORESHADOWING whatever it is that's going to happen.

Since it's supposed to be WOMEN who are DANGEROUS, it needs to be a FEMALE (not a male) who does something DANGEROUS.
