Insidious: The Red Door (2023) has been marketed as being Insidious 4.
So what the hell does this make Insidious: The Last Key (2018) to be?
I thought this one was supposed to be Insidious 4 and Red Door the Insidious 5...
I would consider it to be Insidious 3.
Insidious 1 & 2 were the main films.. 3 and "The Last Key" were more or less "spin-off" films that didn't have much to do with the original family.
Red Door goes back to the main storyline from 1 & 2 again, therefor I consider it to be the true 3rd film

shareWhile it's technically a prequel, you could call it a spin-off too. The main family that Insidious is mainly about is absent from the film, and it focuses on a secondary character's backstory, therefor I would also consider it to be a spin-off.

Glad they didn't number this one. It can just sit on the shelf next to 1 & 2.
I've finally seen the movie and I really liked it.
It's the second best Insidious after the first movie.
