The original was a product of the time. Brandon Lee's appearance in that movie, his character's rock-star background, and the gothic imagery ... it all aligned with the brooding grunge music scene of the 1990s. Brandon Lee's death, morbidly, also added another layer of awe to the movie.
You just can't recreate the context in which the original movie came out. Best to leave this one alone instead of remaking it
Totally agree! The charismatic Lee was perfect in it. Every Crow movie and series have been mediocre at best.

There were earlier Crow movie sequels and a TV series that I tried to watch. All horrible.
Correct. After the original all subsequent Crow films have been darn right atrocious.
