Was so looking forward to seeing this movie after seeing the trailer at the cinema.
It startsof well then kinda goes downhill..has a lot of pointless scenes and characters (the druggie female cop) and is full of location plot holes!!
Stahams character who talks in whispers and tries to come off as a hard man is just laughable as is the killers reason to start killing cops...dont waste ur time!
The sad thing is, it has a good cast, especially Statham and Aidan Gillen, who, despite the weak script, manage to infuse their characters with some life.

shareActually the script the writer turned in was different than the movie you saw. The opening was different and it was Falls that killed Blitz at the end. They changed this during production and the director had no say in the matter.
Also this was not an ACTION film it is a crime drama/thriller.

It seemed like he was pretty psychotic already, only needed a small nudge to go totally loopy.

Totally agree, it's one episode of a low-budget TV cop show stretched over what feels like 7 agonisingly boring hours. Every scene has a plot hole or an illogicality in it. there's no style or originality to the direction or script, no flair, no life about this film at all.
Statham's character is idiotic and wholly unlike-able; he's meant to be an anti-hero, but comes across as braindead dick who thinks he's being witty.
As far as unnecessary characters go, how about Hall's date? Why did he get so much screen time? Did anyone give a *beep* about any of that?
And everyone drinks cups of tea, is this a soap opera or a Jason Statham film?
Don't watch this, those saying it's a good film do not know what they are talking about, it's easily one of Statham's worst. It isn't a Jason Statham film, it has no humour, flair or excitement.
What do you mean tries to? He does that in EVERY movie.
shareBasic movie, good cast, with an average script with an unoriginal end. Not Statham's typical 1000mph over the top action style film but never the less he still tries to be act the 'hard man'. I like movies that get you thinking after it has finished unfortunately all I could think of was how disappointing it was. 4/10
shareCompletely agree. I wasted 1hr 33 minutes of my life and the climax was just plain too short wih not enough buildup.
True I was expecting a Jason Statham no-brainer movie, especially after a stressful day at work, but this was just a plain no-brainer and dull movie.

Statham must have done this movie as a favour to a friend, it stank! Both he and Paddy Considine were wasted in this piece of crap.
