Maybe in this game but a great start to the season nonetheless for Everton!
I think the problem with VAR and these millimetre close decisions (like the Mane one) is that it seems to be interpretative of where the line is, using the TV angle. If you see that Mane decision the line drawn across by VAR didn't match the 18 yard line box line - which it wouldn't due to the position of the TV camera and the angle created.
Therefore when you get into that situation, it shouldn't be used to override the on field decision.

Thanks! There seems to be a real change of attitude at Everton this season. Getting Ancelotti was quite a coup and he’s made some great signings. Maybe we’ll do a Leicester eh, lol.
VAR is ridiculous. I thought it was meant to clear up contentious decisions, not create more confusion. They don’t seem to have this problem in Rugby.

Yeah that's the problem with VAR - if the pundits in the studio after the match are sitting going over VAR mistakes then they may as well be going over referee mistakes and just take VAR and it's delay to games / ruining the moment of goal celebrations away.
Will be interesting to see if Rodríguez can keep performing for Everton as the season wears on. If he does and Calvert-Lewin can keep his form up who knows. Need another goalkeeper mind you!
