It had some potential but felt flat as a pancake

Caught it last night... it's got a few decent moments but it just felt very by-the-numbers. The two leads try their best but the script doesn't offer enough laughs. You can clearly see what they were going for and where the jokes were supposed to laugh, but you got more of a 'heh' or a nod than a "HAHAHAHAA" throughout the thing.

Jack was pretty decent... seen his standup and his travel show with his dad and he's got potential. Shailene Woodley holds her own. The problem is the movie blatantly makes their human characters so extremely unappealing and their robots the polar opposite that you don't really connect with the humans, and when they finally change you don't really feel it and was waiting for it to happen the entire 90 minutes.

Oh, there is some political stuff they threw in at the beginning for no reason whatsoever - it felt so out of place with a silly rom-com about robots falling in love.

Here's your random stranger's opinion - About as mediocre as a comedy can get. Worth trying on a random streaming service but not worth the money to rent.

Agree with all this. It's competent but it's bland.
