It's revealed at the end of the movie that Martian Manhunter was actually General/Defense Secretary Swanwick all along. So that would have him in appearing in Man of Steel and JL 1 and 2, the world was in peril in all of those movies so I'm thinking that angle was kinda far-fetched that he would just stay on the sidelines and not provide any sort of assistance to a planet he called home.

Yes, it was great foreshadowing by Synder in Man of Steel and Batman V Superman with that character. Thats what great directors do and his reveal was a great twist. Only better plot twist I can think of was the whole Rey being a Palpatine. What a shocker that was
