Perhaps, but it'd be more consistent at least.

I didn't think the theatrical version was all that bad. Not one of the better Superhero movies I've seen but not a disaster.

I do think that sometimes a director's cut can be a big improvement. Even Alien 3's assembly cut can be, thought it wasn't actually put together by director David Fincher, but used scenes he filmed and was based on the script he was using before studio interference.
