I walked out and didn't get a refund because I went in for free in the first place

I rented it via Netflix and about the 30 minute mark walked out of my own house. Not funny, boring, stereotypical crap. Par for the Hollywood course these days.

^^^It wasn't very good. I agree.

I recently rented it on DVD and agree that it is one of the very worst movies I have ever seen.

Admittedly I also only gave it 30 minutes because it was so bad, but if a film can't hold my attention (and desire to see the rest of it) then quite frankly it doesn't deserve my attention.

While I had no problems with Downey Jr's character, I had a desperate desire to cause grave physical harm to everyone else. Ethan Tremblay was probably the most annoying character ever to hit the screen, and the guy in the wheelchair, well, he may have been injured in a war fighting for his country, but I ended up wishing the Taliban had finished him off the first time.

Terrible, terrible film.

But why, when you diss a movie you should state your reasons and not simply bash it. The world needs more reason, if not for reason we would all be idiots which most of the world population already is. Please, do not let that happen and explain why this movie sucks.

reply

Here's my reason to bash it: It was a comedy and the only funny part was the scene used to advertise it (with the guy bouncing in the back of the truck bed).
Comedies are supposed to make the viewers laugh. No one in my house laughed, not even my daughter's doofus boyfriend (and he considers Hot Tub Time Machine the funniest movie he's seen).

"Tanner got into a fight." "With who?"
"The 7th grade."

reply

The movie was terrible. I didn't even smile. In the end I even fell asleep because it was so boring.

reply

Yeah it really sucked for what it was. I saw it at the theater and sat through to the bitter end. I wish I would've had the guts to leave and get my 9.50 back but....I didn't.

reply

The guy bouncing in the back of the truck, yes for me too that was the only thing in the entire movie that was actually funny.

Really, I just don't know what's going on in Hollywood these last few years. In the past they made a lot of good comedies, you know, where you actually laughed a lot during the movie. But the last few years such comedies seem to be non-existent, with Due Date a good example of this. I really laughed just once during the entire movie. Hell, I've seen die-hard horror movies that were funnier! Even your basic action-flick is funnier than Due Date...

I long for the good old days... :)

I managed to sit through the Arthur remake, but could not get through this movie.

So according to the OP and some other folks here

If you go watch a football match and the game so happens to be slow-paced and boring you should ask for a refund.

If you go to a restaurant and decide to order a dish u never tried before and it happens that u dont like it you should refuse to pay.

If you rent a movie and turns out that you didnt like it you should ask for a refund.

If you pay a woman for sex and didnt live up to your expectations you should ask for a refund.

If you go to a theme park and so happens that you wene'nt entertained as much as u were expecting then you should ask for a refund.

Am i missing anything?

It's kinda weird people watch movies with their daughters boyfriends. That kid is *beep* your daughter, I wouldn't let him near the house. You know they already did it everywhere in the house don't you.

Good for you! I find it funny that everyone who is saying you're a drama queen for this are being bigger drama queens about it. Ironic. You had every right to get a refund.

reply

I walked in and got a Pepsi.

reply

I agree. Robert is a great, talented, and handsome actor, but he's just wasted for this crappy unfunny comedy.
Anyway, I rented this movie, no way I'll watch a comedy at the cinema, as I hate most of them.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
