Why all the hate for this movie?

I'm going to come out and say it, this is a great movie. I honestly do not see what the haters are going on about.

It's action packed, decently acted, fantastically shot so that you actually feel like you are in the thick of it, and has stunning visuals.

Also, it's FUN to watch. So really, what's the problem here?

Really surprised by some of the reaction I've read on here.

Agreed. I really loved how they finally make an alien invasion movie that revolves around the modern UFOs we see today, with aliens that look like Grey Aliens, etc. Yeah, the story was weak and the character development was poor but the visuals, concept and backstory was amazing. I would actually see their sequel. If they hadn't cancelled it.

Because of all the left-wing "snowflake" haters of anything military out there....little cream puffs who'd wet themselves at the first SIGHT of anything combat! (Two-tour, Vietnam combat Purple Heart VET here...hate liberal wussies!) At least these crybabies got their ARSES kicked on 11/8...may be some hope for this country YET!

Great except for the abominable, unending shaky-cam.

I think it's great! Yes, the ADHD shakycam stuff is irritating, and I'm sure that it was even more so on the big screen. But, the acting feels right in terms of the troops fighting and how they would deal with what happens in the movie, as fantastic as it is.

You have to understand ONE THING ---- THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT COME TO THIS SITE TO JUST P,B.&M, ABOUT MOVIES THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT

It's trying to be Black Hawk Down, but in L.A. vs aliens.

It doesn't come close because the story itself gets in the way (aliens??), the director is not on Ridley's level, and the cast (while decent) was no where near as talented.
