Why rated so low?

I don't understand why Brave has such a low rating. It was a good story, animated and acted well. Why do you think it isn't rated higher?

Is it because this is a Pixar film and people expect more from Pixar? Or could the fact Disney has their stamp on it have put people off?

To be honest, I don't think it's up to Pixars such as the Incredibles or Monsters Inc. But Brave deserves 8+ surely.

Because Wreck it like Ralph was better. And i could do without the Feminist propaganda Brenda Chapman was trying to shove into this movie.

reply

Oh no! A woman that's independent yet barely uses her warrior skills! Yep definitely feminist propaganda.

This movie is pretty mediocre and is only to appeal to younger kids. The story was forgettable and uninteresting at best, it had been butchered with a dramatic mother-daughter relationship. Merida is a very cliched character, she has all the cliches from tomboy to precociousness, I wished that the story revolved more around her having trouble with playing archery, and how was the arrow breaking through the target anyway? Her mother called for her and she didn't listen, it just made me pretty mad! I wish that Brave hadn't revolved around drama and seriousness. And those stupid annoying triplets were the most annoying and forgettable characters I've ever seen in a film!

DON'T JUDGE PEOPLE BY THEIR AGES, NOT USE COMMON SENSE, OR ASK CRITICAL QUESTIONS!

What do you mean low? it's 7,2 which is where it should be. This is not a top 300 movie which it would be if it was 8+

reply

For Pixar it is rather run of the mill.

It's that man again!!

It is a great film, but my only problem was that awkward dirty humor. It doesn't fit in a movie as enchated as this.

reply

Simple answer.. It bored the hell out of me and a lot of others. The story is overdone and it feels like you've seen it a thousand times before. 10 minutes after the movie starts you already know everything thats gonna happen. This is my least favourite Pixar movie ever. Rating is extremly high as far as my opinion. I'd give it a 4 and thats mostly on its technical merits. Story is more like a 2.

I think the rating was too high. It was like a failed experiment. Pixar trying too hard to be a part of Disney, but coudn`t. Tangled and Frozen are two good examples of how Disney alone dominate princess área. Pixar is Pixar

This film was horrible, 7.2 is way too high for it.

I like it, especially for Elinor, which is the true heroïne of the movie, sharing the same age. She resent about the loss of affection of her sister by her father's unconditional love and genetical red-hair link makes the show to me. Otherwise Merida is also clever to understood there's something wrong in her affirmation.

Brave never wants to be praised, it's just a nice friend of our worst rainy and snowy days, we can quit it, and say it hello a next time. I hate overpraised movies looking like drug-addiction, that's not healthy.
