Immortan Joe snatches up the doctor immediately. That's why he's king. That's what was actually important in that trade. This dude is actually looking to the future. Speaks volumes that Dementus gave him up so easily. A little bummed we didn't get into the nature of whatever Joe's problem was with half his face missing. But clearly this is a dude who understands the need for medicine.

shareIDK. It's never really shown. I don't see how the extent of his mortal injury at the end of Fury Road could have possible been caused by his mask ripping off. Even in the prelude comics when he's still in soldier mode, he's wearing a breathing rig.
