What is Max 'Mad' About ?
Forgive me, I've never seen a Mad Max movie, so why is Max 'mad?'
Is it the hot weather ?

Question is, why does it still use the Max moniker when he's not even in them no more in future shows? Seems like it's more associated now with the post-apoc setting now than the character himself.
shareI think the studio/distributors are just covering the bases, with including the 'Max moniker' - to draw in the extra $$$ with the nostalgia crowd.

Same deal as with Rogue One "A Star Wars Story" and that kind of thing. It's a side story not following the "mainline" leads but letting people know it takes place in that same universe. That and using a famous title to coax more people into seeing it.
