I expected the worst

I mean after what they did to Preacher. There was always a chance that someone really hates Garth Ennis and wants to destroy his work.
But this was a pleasant surprise. The story's very different from the original but is good - especially the first half of the season. I think it was a great idea to show the forming of the team, the boys coming together, learning how to fight their enemies and ultimately being forced to use their tools in order to survive the war. In the comic books it's just a new guy learning the ropes in an existing team. The show's version is more dynamic and allows the authors to borrow ideas, characters, story lines and events from all the volumes of the comics.

I hope there will be more seasons and I'm excited to see where will they take it to.
