So, what did you think about the effects making Isabelle young again? and question about it.

Some shots were good and others made me wonder. But good effort by the team and what a task to make a mid 20s girl look under 10 years old!

I was hoping for an unbroken full body shot of the child stand-in from behind into a medium or close-up shot of isabelle to connect the two but i think we always got cutaways. Is that right or did I miss it? Like I said, pretty good job with how they went about it and not using deepfake tech and practical effects though.

Has this even been done before? any other examples?

I was anxious going into the film but I think they pulled it off pretty damn well. Fair play to them.

Totally agreed. In some shots she looked ridiculous - in others, they kind of captured her 2009 "Orphan" look. Overall, I wasn't as disturbed as I thought I'd be with Isabelle Fuhrman now being in her mid 20s.

I just watched both the 2009 Orphan and this one.

The original version had her looking convincingly like a 9 year old girl (yes, I know she was 10 at the time) while this second one had quite a few shots of her looking way older esp. around the eyes and jowls.

Plus, this was supposed to have taken place when she was a year younger at 8 years of age with the original family that adopted her so her look wasn't all that convincing. Good effort though.

Fuhrman was already in her late 20s when this was released, so let's salute the filmmakers for not including close-ups of her vijayjay here. Having now been run through by at least a 100 producers on various casting couches throughout Hollywood, there's no way in hell THAT THING could pass for 8 years old
