The ending

I didn't like the ending. The end reveal didn't make sense to his character. And, what do you think happened? Did he? Did they? I need answers!

Well I have a strange experience with this show. I watched it when it came out, then I started watching it again yesterday. I realized I had already seen it, but remembered nothing about it. I only remembered the characters, none of the events. So I had a moebius strip like relationship with the theme of the show and my own experience watching it again with no memory.
Anyway, I liked the ending when it was all said and done. It is very much against the viewers wishes and not expected. By the time the end (I mean the very end) happens, it is so darkly humorous I can't help but appreciate it.
Did he do what he was trying to do? I think yes.

Thanks for the reply. I can't wait to watch S2. Maybe it will all come together. 😊

Hahaha, Season 2 was just released on NetFlix. I was kind of hoping there would not be a Season 2 so I would not have to watch it. It is funny and fast moving, but totally silly and pointless. I'm on the second epi.

The ending has the literary point of using the characters of the "dramatic charade" to communicate something. Good media will have something ... let's say profitable ... to communicate. That is why our media is toxic.

But to the meaning of this series, is that you get to care about the characters as real fallible human beings, absurd and noisy as the story is, and it continues that into a real world too ... that sometimes you can lose the track and tragedy ensues.

Because most media is infinitely positive to the point of delusion induction - we do not perceive the world, we perceive what the media tells us to, and if you don't there is no way to tell about it. "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers".

OK ... ignore that, there is a great second season.

They didn't... Christian Grey woke up in bed next to a naked Anastasia Steele. Everything was a dream

Well, since the new season came out ( I did not think there would be one, but now I think there will at least a 3rd season too ) you can see for yourself.

I think it made perfect sense. Alone, isolated, finding out your core being is evil, and having your best and only friend desert you? I don't know if you've ever had hard times, but what that TV character went through, it would be easy to see why he would make an attempt on his life.

The second season is sublime, as good, maybe better than the first. I could not stop binge-watching it.
