Last we see, he and his bunch of jabronis go running into the enemy screaming , with swords and stuff . Then we don’t see him again

Honestly had the same experience watching part 1. Got to the climax of the movie & was like, hey! Wait a sec, where's Brolin?
He clearly didn't die. Was he captured or did he get away?
He gets reunited with the kid in the trailer for part 2.
