A VERY Poor Documentary?

Is it me or was this a let down? I am not here to dispute the 'facts' he provided for I can confirm nor deny them. But this is a very flawed documentary and listed below are my reasons.

1. He's not an objective journalist more of a fear mongerer. Instead of presenting facts and hinting at a conclusion so the audience can put the pieces together themselves he just beats us over the head with it. We get a one-sided view.

2. He uses false or inappropriate authorities to back up his claims. For example, how are we to believe a forest ecologist talking about history and political science when that's not his background? PhD or not the guy was talking about subjects he's not trained in. Furthermore that doc's proof was the way consversation was sectioning off cities. Of course conservation will take place outside urban areas, not within the city. And of course they will try to conserve more than necessary so when lobbyists fight back there can be a middle ground, pardon the pun, they can both share.

3. Darwin and natural selection. I have a B. Sc. in Biology with a specialization in cell/molecular and let me tell you Jones did nothing but twist the facts. First off Darwin did not get the idea for natural selection from the Malthusian Catastrophe. as mentioned by Jones, but from observing turtles and finches in the Galapagos islands. Moreover, the elite at the time DID NOT accept Darwin's ideas for they were considered highly controvercial since they went against creationism. Darwin was riddiculed and shunned. Have you guys not seen the drawings with Darwin's head on a monkey's body? Funny how Jones forgot to mention any of this. Also when Darwin said "survival of the fittest" he meant those most physically adapted to survive their environment i.e. Africans with more melanin in their skin to fight off skin cancer. Not a super race designed to control the world. Our environment is always changing and we like all other organisms are evolving to survive in the modified environment. One can never have a super race because there will never be the perfect environment. Every biologist is aware of this.

4. Attack on science. Jones calims genetics and biology is nothing but eugenics under cover. WOW!!! Do I need to dignify this? Yes in the past centuries people used science, just as they used religion amongst other things, to further their political motives but to hint that science is working under the agenda of ridding the world of minorities is retarded.

5. He uses emotionally charged language, a staple of flawed arguments. The name calling and belittling of politicians, CEOs, etc. was amateurish at best.

6. He taunts the supposed Bilderburg associates as they leave the hotel instead of asking real questions like a journalist should.

7. UN is supposed to control the 3rd world contries after N.A.U, E.U and A.U's estabilished? What? The UN never did and never will have any real power. UN is nothing but a formality, a dog and pony show so the developed world can rid themselves of guilt when *beep* hits the fan. If the UN had real power there would be no war in Iraq, no genocide in Sudan, Kenya would not be the powder keg it is now, etc.

This documentary handled a sensitive matter in a very insensitive manner. To me he did not come off as a serious journalist looking to uncover the truth. But as a conspiracy theorist hiding in his mother's basement with tin foil wrapped around his head so the aliens cant steal his thoughts.

I recomend watching The Corporation, a much better documentary.

Peace.

This is actually the best documentary I have ever seen, not because it is so true, but because it challenges you to prove why it is not true. This teaches so much about reading media and how we all are subjects of similar manipulation as presented in this film. This challenges you to actually find out about things on your own, to be skeptical towards all information no matter what is the source, see the big picture behind news.
