A VERY Poor Documentary?


Is it me or was this a let down? I am not here to dispute the 'facts' he provided for I can confirm nor deny them. But this is a very flawed documentary and listed below are my reasons.

1. He's not an objective journalist more of a fear mongerer. Instead of presenting facts and hinting at a conclusion so the audience can put the pieces together themselves he just beats us over the head with it. We get a one-sided view.

2. He uses false or inappropriate authorities to back up his claims. For example, how are we to believe a forest ecologist talking about history and political science when that's not his background? PhD or not the guy was talking about subjects he's not trained in. Furthermore that doc's proof was the way consversation was sectioning off cities. Of course conservation will take place outside urban areas, not within the city. And of course they will try to conserve more than necessary so when lobbyists fight back there can be a middle ground, pardon the pun, they can both share.

3. Darwin and natural selection. I have a B. Sc. in Biology with a specialization in cell/molecular and let me tell you Jones did nothing but twist the facts. First off Darwin did not get the idea for natural selection from the Malthusian Catastrophe. as mentioned by Jones, but from observing turtles and finches in the Galapagos islands. Moreover, the elite at the time DID NOT accept Darwin's ideas for they were considered highly controvercial since they went against creationism. Darwin was riddiculed and shunned. Have you guys not seen the drawings with Darwin's head on a monkey's body? Funny how Jones forgot to mention any of this. Also when Darwin said "survival of the fittest" he meant those most physically adapted to survive their environment i.e. Africans with more melanin in their skin to fight off skin cancer. Not a super race designed to control the world. Our environment is always changing and we like all other organisms are evolving to survive in the modified environment. One can never have a super race because there will never be the perfect environment. Every biologist is aware of this.

4. Attack on science. Jones calims genetics and biology is nothing but eugenics under cover. WOW!!! Do I need to dignify this? Yes in the past centuries people used science, just as they used religion amongst other things, to further their political motives but to hint that science is working under the agenda of ridding the world of minorities is retarded.

5. He uses emotionally charged language, a staple of flawed arguments. The name calling and belittling of politicians, CEOs, etc. was amateurish at best.

6. He taunts the supposed Bilderburg associates as they leave the hotel instead of asking real questions like a journalist should.

7. UN is supposed to control the 3rd world contries after N.A.U, E.U and A.U's estabilished? What? The UN never did and never will have any real power. UN is nothing but a formality, a dog and pony show so the developed world can rid themselves of guilt when *beep* hits the fan. If the UN had real power there would be no war in Iraq, no genocide in Sudan, Kenya would not be the powder keg it is now, etc.

This documentary handled a sensitive matter in a very insensitive manner. To me he did not come off as a serious journalist looking to uncover the truth. But as a conspiracy theorist hiding in his mother's basement with tin foil wrapped around his head so the aliens cant steal his thoughts.

I recomend watching The Corporation, a much better documentary.

What a flawless critique of that self-indulgent vanity-piece!

You really nailed the problem with Alex Jones-- a one-time (?) Paul Revere morphing into The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

To your suggestion of The Corporation, I might add something with Chomsky like "Manufacturing Consent" -- lots of eye candy along with the "this-is-by-design" message.


By the way, tin foil hats are out, V for Vendetta masks are in ;)

Its pretty well documented who was behind the creation of the UN. By the way, the reason the UN is so useless is because its vetoing power afforded to the creating nations. The wests wars are obviously going to be OK by the UN which is ran by the west with its headquarters in the USA.....who are the ones with no logic? Also if it was so good there would be no need for a world government in the future which you can be assured is a serious plan.

By the way i am in no way an alex jones fan and most of the OPs points were valid

Brilliant post mouse. I watched Terrorstorm, and it was much better; though I disagree with a lot what Jones said, especially about 9/11. He's either a very good con-artist, or a complete tool. Maybe even both.

I also resent Jones mentioning a book by Carroll Quigley in Endgame, called "Tragedy and Hope". Quigley (a Harvard historian), who reveals who really holds power would laugh at Jones and tell him to put his tin-foil hat back on. (Google the book, it's very good)

I remember sitting through this film, thinking what a load of rubbish. Most of it was utter crap, but one of my favourite parts of the film was where he claimed British social workers kidnapped children. Seriously WTF. My mother is a social worker, and she (to my knowledge at least) hasn't kidnapped children as part of some depopulation effort.

I also can't comprehend how Jones, in the official description for this film, thought it was a good idea to claim the "Elite" are going to "live forever", by "depopulating the Earth". There is absolutly no evidence of this, and I challenge any of his supporters to answer me if they can.

What specially was funny was all his own insane speculations about history as he claimed as to be fact.

Alex Jones claims that Charles Darwin and the international bankers all are part of some conspiracy, along with the UN, to kill most people in the world.
Though jones shows no evidence of this claim, he still claims it to be an undenyable truth.

Yet all the history books of the world contradict him on all his viewpoints on history. a) Does Alex Jones have acces to some secret data-bank on "real history" or b) is he just making it up because his uneducated-fans dosent know any better?
I believe it the last option. Alex Jones has made a career on people who have never read a history book, and yet still claim to know all about what is going on. This is a great study on how far out right wing and left wing groups and parties get formed. How they believe blindly in a conspiracy, which they have no proof of, but the ramblings of their idiot leader.

this is really a pathetic movie. But that being said, people should keep their eye on Alex Jones. No one know what that cult-leader might think of doing.

Yeah, this is just retarded. For several reasons. One of the main reasons being that this whacko conspiracy theory has been around since at least the '60s. Neither this documentary, nor The Obama Deception, or any of the nwo sites are proving a damn thing, except that people are paranoid, and have too much time on their hands. And where the hell is the proof that Alex Jones predicted 9/11?
