If he is travelling from San Francisco to Los Angeles and he is in a hurry, he should have taken the highway, not the coastal scenic route!

He was 5 days from Sunday, not in that much a hurry

Wasn’t he Oregon or something? I think the funeral was in Arizona, and then he was supposed to drop the dog off in New Mexico or something to get put down

He was in Portland for some reason ..

But he was driving from Tacoma, WA to whatever place in Arizona so it made sense.
