As a consequence of Martin's obsession with "morally grey" characters there is truly no one to root for in this show. Any one getting their way would be bad for everyone else. These characters have no moral compass and are all just opportunistic fiends. The show is downright miserable.
shareIt's good that there is no one to root for. Why should their always be someone to root for ... whether they are good or bad, or you get to like them and then they can do no wrong? Life is not like that.
I think this show has a clever way to showing all sides of different issues and then withholding who is right or virtuous until we get an outcome, and then even, the next outcome or go around might be just the opposite.
That's probably likely in this series as it was with GOT, since they proved out the concept and now will probably go with trying to develop this theme further.
