The writing for Jonathan doesn't make since and it's unfair to the character!

Jonathan is Clark's son too. He should not be 100% human. He should have something about him that Kyptonian. And I think the character should be asking questions about what's wrong etc. Clark never spends sends any alone time with him either. They are trying a appease fans by turning Jonathan into a volunteer firefighter. Jonathan should be anger inside and his parents have no clue etc. This not realistic.

Although I agree Jonathan should manifest a more Kryptonian side, Superman's 2 so s represent his 2 fathers: Jonathan Kent and Jor-el.

This also reminds me of the Underworld mythos about the 1st immortal who had 3 sons: a vampire, a lycan, and a normal human.

Genetics doesn't always work like that. Yes, Jonathan undoubtedly has some Kryptonian attributes. Since half of his genes come from Clark, that is inevitable. That doesn't mean he will display any powers at all.

On average, yes, he likely should have some. If two parents of different races have children, the most likely outcome is a child who displays characteristics of both parents. However, it is possible to appear totally like one parent or the other as well.

The classic experiment, which is highly simplified, is a black furred mouse and a white furred mouse. They have a litter of four mice. Statistically, two will have mixed black and white fur, one will be white furred and one will be black furred.

Now, having said all that, I would prefer that Jonathan displayed some type of power, even if he much less powerful than Jordan. They are already seeding some of the concept by showing that Jordan isn't vulnerable to kryptonite. They could still give Jonathan something. He's not an adult. Puberty could still jumpstart something even if he is 16-17.

Likely, they are doing it this way for dramatic story-telling purposes. Two sons displaying widely different personalities. At least, they haven't pulled the one son is good and the other is evil trope.
