Cheesy with lax security and plot holes

-Being able to easily sneak in be it a cop or a opportunist organ harvester and gang.
-Lack of screening credible people or people that suddenly break the rules where it doesn't raise any suspicion.
-Lack of checking if they're being followed to the game field, quick dissipation of sleeping gas, and being able to smuggle in weapons.
-ID check only by number among staff so there is no way to check if the person is actually that person designated to that number so you could see that anyone could easily assume another person.
-0029 being able to assume a baggage handler O then supervisor [] easily without raising any alarm bells and seemingly knowing what to do in those roles as well for the most part.
-So many missed opportunities to overpower the guards and grab their SMG's or push them off hazardous areas (Tug of War).
-It's weird how they prevented people from fighting/killing each other on the first day but subsequent days it was free for all.
-Nice guys finish last until they don't
-People still whining and complaining after the events of the first day to muscle up the courage to still go back then whine and complain again after all they've been through... -_- really? I would've been desensitized by that point since you essentially chose money over life.
-Either Oh Il-nam is an expert (which he is but still hella old) or no one ever thought about ridding the old guy first since he'd be more of an issue for future games requiring groups. The resting area fights to the huge gambles he took even though he parted wisdom on the teams but still a RNG (Tug of War) so how would the game hosts protect their creator if they were doing so during the first game?
-That guy that brought his wife to the game... WTF was he thinking? Instead of just losing one, the potential to lose 2 and screw whatever children they might have had back home.
-Whole etiquette of the games revolves around EQUALITY yet there was so much inequality in team member choice, misogyny (women weaker albeit true to certain degrees), being able to change the type of game around the genre to make it more fair which many don't until the marble game (missed opportunity, especially the candy game).
-People being able to cheat...
-Cameras everywhere except bathrooms eh? At least the sex was nice...

Ugh! More times this show made me frustrated over it but I still enjoyed the drama and the games themselves.

You have a lot of valid points. One thing that may be explainable for some things such as laxed security and inconsistent rules is the fact that the guy running the game is not the usual guy. Maybe he didn't have the experience and knowledge to run the game as smoothly as it should have been. Perhaps if the old man had been in charge like usual, things may have been much different.

He's got plenty of experience after being a survivor, no way he wouldn't have known how to run it when he's been doing it for quite some time before the arrival of the group we see in this series. Old man isn't the one in charge, it was a collective of rich VIP folks that made the decision to run the games. Most of them watched from afar but I guess the one hosted in Korea is by the old man. I wonder if the next season will have him traveling to take down the other VIP's or finish off Front Man first.

It almost seems as if there was already corruption for some time as one would have had to had time to create a passage to bring those bodies for the organ harvesters to enact their work. Instead of cremating them they were dropped below some shaft.

Most of what you say are just assumptions unless I missed something. We know he won in 2015, but do not know any other involvement he had in the games prior to the one we see. His rent was only a couple weeks late, so it didn't appear to me that he had been missing long. Also, do we even know for sure that it is his brother that was hosting? The cop clearly knew the host, but I don't know if it was actually confirmed that the host was indeed his brother that had won in 2015.

Did the VIPs run the games? I thought they just funded them and had their fun by placing bets. The VIPs didn't even know what the games were going to be, so I don't think they were running it. I thought they were just there for the entertainment. I also saw no indication that there were games held in other countries by the VIPs unless that is something I missed.

Yes, it is my assumption since he won, he got the money but I also think he approached the old man to join in on the fun as well now that he is rich else why would he become who he is today and is even willing to kill his own brother? Maybe he didn't join right away but he sure did know the layout and planning so if he obviously would've done at least one game prior to the current one in the series. Again, the show has many plot holes so we'll just leave it at that I guess. Yes, the cop knew it was his brother hence his expression and the Front Man even tried to save him before shooting him off the ledge.

It was explained at the end of the episode that the VIPS were a collective of filthy rich pervs with weird fetishes around the world that were so bored they wanted some fun because being rich is lonely and dull. They agreed on this type of death game that bet on humans (animals) and the one running the South Korean one is the old man himself or he just so happens to live there so he had some sort of jurisdiction but was still equal among the other VIPS.

It wasn't mentioned if there were other games in other countries but it wouldn't make sense not to have them since the VIPS themselves were from other countries (British, US, China based on accents) unless they all lived in SK for some reason. If I was the writer I would definitely have it that way as there is so much potential for multiple seasons, different locations, different actors in their own language, catering to games that are from that country. I'm guessing they're going for the take down Front Man in S2 and the rest of the VIPS when they attend the games again or something.
