Why did the swat van and the robot and rufus' daughter's cell phone go to Hell

I'll tell you why and it's pretty simple. DCM's laser was not a disintegrating beam, it was a transporter beam which transports to the plane of Hell. That's why both animate and inanimate objects go to Hell.

interesting. i like that it can be explained like this i didn't like that the robot going to hell was just played off like a joke without explanation.
