Was Silva a rebooted character of Jaws?

I thought of this movie like it was rebooted the same way Nolan rebooted Batman. And I even think the makers admit that too. So is Silva a reboot of the Jaws character? The aim of this kind of film making is to make the audience feel that it happens in the real world with life like characters. So what would be the normal reason for a person in the real world to have an iron jaw?

No. They just both had odd teeth.

Well, if you had a defective cyanide capsule embedded in your tooth your teeth would look odd too.

Silva was a reboot of the Joker character.

Joker is part of the Batman universe. Batman does not appear in any Bond movie
