Sorry, But I dont like this show.

I watch G4 all the time, I follow E3 every year. My favorite show is X-Play, and I watch AOTS when I can. Ninja Warrior is the greatest gameshow along with MXC (Both incredibly similar, Ninja Warrior is just more serious)

I think the funnest console is the NES, my favorite video game is SMB3. I also love Contra games, and several other classic NES games like The Legend of Zelda.

This show isn't funny. I failed to laugh at this show once during the 7 episodes I saw. Thats right, even after not laughing at the previous one once, I gave this show 7 chances (7x about 21 minutes runtime without commercials) which is equivalent to about 145-150 minutes of total lack of any remotely funny humor.

The humor implied in this show is basically what you would think a bunch of 4th Grade potty mouth boys would write. This is easily the most insanely idiotic G4 show ever. This is the most tragic and ONLY flaw in the G4 lineup. Cancel this crap.

Overall, I thought the show was pretty good when I first saw it. Sometimes quite funny even. But what I didn't like about it though was that they just had to include a horrible stereotypes of black and Asian men--not funny.

The slow, unchanging progression of time: "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ....." (etcetera)

I seem to be in the same boat as a couple others, as I'm also a programmer.

I tried very hard to like this show, but it reeks on every level of analysis I'm capable of reaching, which I'll grant is pretty limited. The show is not even slightly about programming humor and seems to stick with the typical 12-year-old potty jokes (in episode one, he has "sex" with his computer to unfreeze it, then does the same to a condom machine to get free ones, microwaves his excrement, and.. well... I stopped watching at that point, as I couldn't stand it anymore). Sadly, the rest of the episodes I watched weren't any better.

Really, I'd love to see a show that truly shows the environment of programmers these days. Unfortunately, I don't believe Adam is even capable of designing a good static web page in HTML, let alone program a video game, as the show made no mention (that I saw) of anything along the lines of inadequate management, spending 40 hours (yes, in a row) debugging a piece of code you had to crank out in three days because the producer just HAD to have feature X, or, really, anything else.

If you're going to call your show "Code Monkeys," then please, include at least ONE joke within the entire series that a code monkey is going to laugh at. Otherwise, it'll be remembered as having no semblance of programming humor beyond the title.

This show feels like a bad webcomic in TV form.

Who gives a crap that you don't give a crap?

I actually gave this show one more chance. It was the episode with the psychologist coming in for an insurance review. While I still didn't laugh, I think I found a couple redeeming qualities in the show.

I won't be watching it again, but I now feel neutral to it, rather than liking or hating it.
